I do my best to share weekly content here on the blog that will help you with session planning and improve your clinical practice.
Though I’ve shared a LOT on the blog since I first started in 2011, the information can feel a bit scattered.
It’s a bit of information here, a session idea there.
I created my E-Book collection so all of the information I have to share is organized and can easily be referenced as you session plan.
One of the most popular resources is the Tuneful Teens collection.
It has E-Books that are full of intervention ideas, sheet music, and templates for a variety of musical experiences that are engaging for teens with autism and related disabilities.
Rachel Rambach, MM, MT-BC says this about Tuneful Teens:
“Amy provides everything you need — step by step procedures, templates, sheet music, etc. — to implement the interventions in your music therapy sessions. I highly recommend Amy’s book.”
The Rap Pack for Teens is one of my favorite resources, mostly because I used to be so intimidated and clueless about how to incorporate rapping into my sessions (and thankfully am not anymore!
This package (E-Book + MP3s) provides ideas for how to get started using raps in your sessions in a creative way.
Elizabeth Buckmaster, MEd, MT-BC says this about The Rap Pack:
“The ideas are creative and clearly laid out, and the CD tracks are really useful! The teen population can sometimes be tricky to find “cool” and appropriate music therapy experiences for, so new ideas are always a treat!! I’ve already recommended The Rap Pack to several colleagues!”
The Sensational Songs & Activities E-Book is a crowd favorite. It’s full of song ideas, sheet music, intervention ideas, and themed session plans designed to stimulate ALL the senses. The ideas are perfect for all of your sensory-based learners, including those with autism.
Joy Ouellette, MT-BC says this about the E-Book:
“I bought your book and it has been such a help! I was so stuck on sensory activity ideas. I wanted to let you know that you have a great resource. Thanks for getting me unstuck!”
In the Virtual Music Therapy Session Planning Packs for Spring & Summer, you learn a variety of creative musical experiences that are effective in teletherapy and easily customized for in-person sessions. You can purchase them separately or in a Combo Pack at a discounted rate.
Nell Miller, MT-BC calls the E-Book “creative and wonderful.“
Ashley Lewis, MM, MT-BC says “I of course love your resources and I think you are brilliant. Your visuals are the best I’ve ever seen! I’m a huge fan of yours and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next because I will be buying it.”
If it sounds like these ideas could be helpful for you, I’ve got great news.
ALL the E-Books I shared about above will be 50% off next week, March 27 – 31.
This sale only happens once a year, so if you’re interested I’d encourage you to browse the E-shelves and get ready to stock up next week.
