It’s called Elevate, pre-approved by CBMT for 10 CMTE credits per package. Elevate is a monthly email subscription designed for music professionals who work with school-age and teen clients with autism and related disabilities.
Here’s how it works –
There are three parts to Elevate: monthly musical experience ideas sent straight to your inbox, Creativity Worksheets, and instructor support.
Musical Experience Ideas: You’ll receive one package of themed session ideas straight to your inbox at the beginning of each month, for a total of 6 months. The ideas will be in PDF format and include step-by-step instructions, as well as all the information you’ll need to prepare and facilitate a session plan based on that theme. This includes lyric sheets, MP4s, visuals, musical game templates, or listening guides.
You’ll receive brand new ideas to spark your creativity, with each month targeting a different holiday or theme:
There will be an opportunity at the end of the six months to renew your subscription (and earn an additional 10 continuing ed credits) and get more fresh ideas for a Spring theme, Camping theme, Hawaiian and Beach theme, Fall/Harvest theme, and more.
Creativity Worksheets: With each month’s idea, you’ll also receive a Creativity Worksheet that prompts you to plan out goals, objectives, and musical experiences to work on the skills or goal areas from that month with your own unique clients. This will double or triple the number of ideas you walk away with!
Instructor Support: In addition, you’ll have email access to ask me questions and get support, as needed. You can get support on how to best implement or adapt the ideas for your unique clients, or on any topic relevant to the content in the packages you receive each month. I’m trained in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) and have 17 years of experience working with children and teens with autism and related disabilities. I teach music therapy courses virtually for University of Miami and have research published in the Journal of Music Therapy.
You’ll earn 10 CMTEs (pre-approved by CBMT) when you complete and return the six Creativity Worksheets. Simple as that!
