As the mom of a two-year-old (with another one on the way!), I am always on the lookout for things to do with her that are fun and stimulating for the mind and body.

Now that summer in Miami is in full swing (with all it’s heat and humidity!) I’m not ashamed to say that I’m mostly looking for things that are indoors.

If you’re in the area and you’re like me (looking for cool, indoor activities!) here are some of our summer offerings you might be interested in ~

Rockin’ & Readin’ at the Library

What: A developmental music class for children ages 3 – 5 and their caregivers. We’ll be grooving and getting our bodies moving to music! I’ll be bringing singeable stories, lots of movement props (scarves and the stretchy band to name a few!) and a variety of instruments for children to explore.
Dates: Saturday, July 9 & Saturday September 10, 2016
Time: 11:00-11:40am

Cost: FREE

Traditional & Adapted Music Lessons

What: We offer both traditional music lessons (for children and teens who are typically developing) and adapted music lessons (for children and teens with autism and other special needs). We offer lessons on piano, guitar, voice, drum set and ukulele.
Days/Times: Scheduled at your convenience
Where: We offer both in-home lessons and lessons at Express Yourself Therapy Center (6356 Manor Lane, Suite 106, South Miami, FL 33143)

Sing, Speak & Socialize

What: Group music therapy for development of social communication skills in children with autism
Day/Time: Mondays from 3:30 – 4:15pm (children ages 3-5); 5:00-5:45pm (children ages 6-8)
Where: Express Yourself Therapy Center ~ 6356 Manor Lane, Suite 106, South Miami, FL 33143
Cost: $60/session
