I decided to pop back in and say hello just before we said goodbye to 2013 and hello to 2014.

I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying reflecting on the year that’s passed. This has been an incredible year for me both personally and professionally and I am truly grateful for all the amazing events that took place.

In March, the Winter edition of the Journal of Music Therapy came out, which had my research study on joint attention and autism inside it.

In April, I got married to my sweetheart, Steve.

In June, my course Autism + Special Needs: FUNdamentals for Young Children was released.

And In August, I began my position as Interim Professor of Music Therapy at the University of Miami. All in all it has been an incredibly exciting year.

Oh and there was one more surprise that we found out in September…we’re having a baby girl!

Needless to say, I am very, very excited for the new year to come…especially June!!

I also have an announcement that I’ll be making in the new year about my next big project here at Wholesome Harmonies. Newsletter subscribers will find out all the juicy details in the beginning of January. If you’re not yet a subscriber, enter your name and email address at the bottom of this post. It’s completely free!

For now I’m looking forward and I hope you are too…

I’m looking forward to continuing to share free resources, songs, tips, and ideas here on the blog.

I’m looking forward to being inspired by the other music therapists who are online also sharing the work they do.

I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my private practice so we here at Wholesome Harmonies can provide music therapy services to even more clients in Miami in 2014.

Cheers and I’ll see you in the new year!
