Music therapy with the baby and toddler class at UCP is one of my favorite groups of the week. I get to see them meet so many developmental milestones, which is amazing – I feel like a proud mama! Our music therapy sessions focus on the following developmental areas:
– Moving to music
– Social skills: giving high fives, giving hugs, and shaking hands
– Bilabials (ba, ma, wa, pa sounds)
– Exploring musical instruments
– Learning animals, colors, numbers, and letters
– Learning body parts
“Ten Little Fingers” by Annie Kubler is one of my favorite books to use with the baby and toddler class. The book explores various things that can be done with our hands. Here is the song I wrote to go along with it:
