Graduate Music Therapy Student & Music Teacher

Born and raised in Florida, Taylor Wright received his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Rollins College. He is currently a graduate student and Teaching Assistant studying music therapy at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.

With a background in classical voice, piano, and musical theatre, Taylor uses the skills he is learning at Frost to help clients express themselves and achieve therapeutic goals. He has experience with diverse populations, researching the latest evidence-based techniques to target behaviors and ensure positive outcomes.

Taylor currently prepares and teaches after school music enrichment programming for young children through the University of Miami’s Shalala MusicReach Program. He researches peer-reviewed scientific journals for techniques and interventions to integrate into lesson plans. Taylor also provides music therapy at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for his clinical practica.

In his free time, Taylor enjoys being active and playing beach volleyball.
