Katherine Lantigua, MT-BC

Board-Certified Music Therapist and NICU Music Therapist

Katherine LantiguaI’m Katherine and I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy from the Florida State University. I completed my six-month clinical internship at Chris Evert Children’s Hospital, where I provided both individual and group music therapy services for children, families, and staff members on the Hematology/Oncology Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and General Pediatrics Unit.

While at FSU I organized a successful benefit concert to raise funds for a private practice in California that provides music therapy services for combat veterans, and I gained diverse practicum experiences ranging from work with pre-mature infants, children with special needs, adolescents in behavioral health, and geriatric populations.

Kind Words About Katherine

“Our boys are doing amazing, we have noticed so much improvement with both of them. They are learning so much while having a great time and we couldn’t be happier. Katherine is absolutely amazing! She adjusts to their needs and treats them with the utmost respect. She even learned a new song that went with my son’s favorite book! We all love her!”
– Mother of two boys receiving individual music therapy

“Everything is great. Fernando loves the classes. On Thursday mornings when I tell him that he is having classes with her, he gets super exited and happy. The truth is he is kind of tired of therapies but he doesn’t know he is receiving therapy through music.”
– Zoila Olascoaga, mother of Fernando
