Board-Certified Music Therapist & Music Teacher

I am Allison Kershner, an MT-BC based in South Florida. I have a background in hospice care, working with older adults with dementia, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, cancer, COPD, and other life-threatening diseases in individual and group settings. I’m also passionate about working with children and teens with various disabilities and needs such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, anxiety disorders, etc., as well as teaching adaptive lessons.

I graduated from Columbus State University with a bachelor’s degree in flute performance, and additionally completed a jazz studies certificate with a focus in voice.  I then attended Florida State University to complete my music therapy Master’s Equivalency program, and completed my clinical internship with Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida.  I am excited to join the Wholesome Harmonies team to provide music therapy and adaptive lessons for Broward and Palm Beach counties.
