Mommy & Me Music

Mommy & Me Music is a class for children (ages 0-2) and their caregivers, designed to provide musical experiences that enrich development. We have a brand new session starting!

When: Mondays 10:00 – 10:40am
Location: 6356 Manor Lane, Suite 106, South Miami, FL 33143

Cost: $200/eight-week session

In our sessions, we utilize developmentally appropriate songs and activities to encourage interaction between parents and their little ones and to work on basic developmental skills.

Little ones will explore a variety of musical instruments and props such as scarves, parachute, and stretchy band. We’ll also be singing and moving to music to work on growth in the areas of social, communication, physical, and emotional development.

In our sessions, we use both original and familiar songs that you’ll be singing along to in no time! Live musical accompaniment is provided on guitar, keyboard, and omnichord, and we utilize a variety of musical styles like samba, country and rock and roll!

Baby & Toddler Rock at the Library 

Baby & Toddler RockJoin board-certified music therapists Amy Kalas Buser and Vicky Culp as they lead Baby Rock & Toddler Rock at the Library, developmental music programs for little ones.

These classes are offered to babies (ages 0-2), toddlers (ages 2-4) and their caregivers, and are designed to provide musical experiences that enrich development.

In our sessions, we utilize developmentally appropriate songs and activities to encourage interaction between caregivers and their little ones and to work on basic developmental skills.

Little ones will explore a variety of musical instruments and props such as scarves, parachute, stretchy band, and puppets. We’ll also be singing, reading books with songs and moving to music to work on growth in the areas of social, communication, physical, and emotional development.

Rockin’ and Readin’ at the Library

Rockin' & Readin'

Rockin’ and Readin’ is a program created by board-certified music therapist Amy Kalas Buser and is offered in collaboration with Miami Dade County Public Library system and Brockway Memorial Library.

The program is designed to allow children of ALL abilities, including those with special needs, to participate in music therapy activities. These activities target developmental goals and promote literacy through book and song activities. Sessions are FREE and are open to children ages 4 to 6 and their caregivers.

Sessions are offered through Wholesome Harmonies, LLC and are facilitated by board-certified music therapist Amy Kalas Buser, MM, MT-BC.

If you’ve ever wondered what a group music therapy session looks like, this will be a great opportunity to get a sneak peak and have your child participate! Each month will have a theme based on the season or holiday of that month. We will have mixed rhythm instruments, drums, parachute, scarves, stretchy band, and lots of movement activities planned!

Birthday Parties

Are you looking for an enjoyable way to engage all the guests at your little one’s party?

Wholesome Harmonies provides fun, developmentally appropriate musical experiences for all your party guests. The board-certified music therapist will provide live, upbeat music using keyboard and guitar. Songs are rhythmic and fun, as well as easy to sing and dance to!

Each child will be actively engaged in music making throughout the session. Here are some of musical experiences we use:

  • Playing maracas, drums, and other rhythmic instruments
  • Singing your child’s favorite songs
  • Movement and dancing to music
  • Movement with the parachute, stretchy band, and scarves
  • Book ‘n Songs
  • Musical games
