Get Your Turkey Groove On!

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching! I have to say, though, with all the planning for our Halloween Book ‘n Song performances (which I wrote about here and here)….and with our Christmas Holiday show quickly approaching, Thanksgiving can often be forgotten.

Never fear! I have a fun Turkey Day song that I’d like to share with you.

I debuted it last year, but it is just as cute as ever. Now that it is November, I can’t wait to start flapping and gobbling with my kiddos!

It’s called Turkey Trot by Ron Brown and I think you’ll like it…

Lyrics and movements:

Pull your hands right in (start with arms outstretched, then pull in)
Stick your elbows out (stick elbows out)
Then you flap your wings (flap wings)
And walk about (waddle around)

You can gobble to the left (flap wings and move to left)
You can gobble to the right (flap wings and move to right)
Then you shake your tail with all your might! (flap wings and shake your bottom!)

Gobble, gobble, gobble….brrrrr!
Gobble, gobble, gobble….brrrrr!
Gobble, gobble, gobble….brrrrr!

Then you shake your tail with all your might!
