Upcoming!

by Amy on November 8, 2011

I am thrilled to announce that I am soon to be featured as a guest blogger for Kimberly Sena Moore on her blog, Music Therapy Maven. The topic? Applying for internship – something near and dear to all of our hearts, whether student or professional!

I serve as the Clinical Training Director for the internship program at UCP’s Early Beginnings Academy and in my guest blog post I’ll be sharing some tips for standing out in the crowd of internship applicants. I’ll let you know what makes an impression on me when I am going through the process of interviewing and auditioning prospective interns. These are all things I wish I had known when I was applying for internship! With the end of the year approaching, I know many of you students are finishing those applications and might be able to use a few suggestions for how to pull it all together in a way that makes you shine.

Be sure to check out my guest blog post next Wednesday, November 16. Also, be sure to  check out Kimberly’s fabulous site full of resources on music therapy and private practice. You can find it all at the Music Therapy Maven.

If you are interested in finding out more information about the internship program at UCP, hop on over to the internship website. There you’ll find pictures from music therapy sessions, “A day in the life of an intern at UCP,” as well as all the materials and instructions you’ll need to apply. Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions!
